Oral Thrush Poster

Oral Thrush is a creamy white lesion that can occur on the
tongue, cheek, palate or tonsils.
Most commonly affects immunocompromised persons
such as the elderly.
Tips to managing oral thrush:
- Maintain good oral hygiene for natural teeth and
dentures - Notify the RN who can administer an antifungal
medication (eg. Nilstat) to clear the infection - Dentures should be disinfected in an antimicrobial solution
(eg. Chlorhexidine)
